Chess

Hello and welcome to day 1 of PEDIM (post every day in may)! Most of these are stored in advanced so I can put one out everyday, but they should still be  relevant.

Now on to the subject, which today is chess.

If you don’t know what chess is, Merriam Webster describes it as

‘a board game of strategic skill for two players, played on a checkered board. Each player begins the game with sixteen pieces that are moved and used to capture opposing pieces according to precise rules. The object is to put the opponent’s king under a direct attack from which escape is impossible (checkmate).’

I knew how to play for a while but I only really got interested in it when Riley started going to chess club. I went to chess club and now I absolutely love it. Riley is better than me by a long shot, but I am trying to practice more so hopefully we will be equals one day 😀

I have been working on a couple of different things to optimize my Chess skills. Openings I am worst at, so that is what I have been practicing most. Also my sight needs work, so I have been playing 1 minute games to get my reactions better. If you have any tips, let me know in the comments!

Welp that is all for today, see you tomorrow with a ranking of the new Doctor Who’s

And like I say quite a bit:

A diamond is just a parallelogram on it’s side.
