Wild Card Thursday #1!

*WARNING This post is very long. I do still recommend reading it. WARNING*

Hey everyone it’s Thursday so we are doing the 1st Wild Card Thursday!

Today the subject it phones and, more specifically, iPhones.

Phones and smartphones have become a necessity in today’s society.  Approximately 56% of kids age 8 to 12 have cell phones. So it is obvious that finding the right phone is important.

Today we will be focusing on smart phones because they are increasingly more common and quite frankly more useful.

2 main brands of smartphones are iPhones and Android phones. We will break down different phones by these different brands, and find out what is the best bang for our buck.

Let’s start off with iPhones.

For the purpose of this post, we will only look at phones that Apple continues to sell. The 5s and everything released prior to that are now not being sold by Apple and therefore not mentioned in this post. Anyways…

The iPhone 6, 6 S, 6 plus, 6 S plus, and the all new iPhone SE.

A 16 gig iPhone 6 is $549 dollars from Apple, tax, shipping, and a cell plan not included.

A 16 gig iPhone 6 Plus is $649 dollars from Apple, tax, shipping, and a cell plan not included.

A 16 gig iPhone 6 S is $649 dollars from Apple, tax, shipping, and a cell plan not included.

A 16 gig iPhone 6 S Plus is $749 dollars from Apple, tax, shipping, and a cell plan not included.

A 16 gig iPhone SE is $399 dollars from Apple, tax, shipping, and a cell plan not included.

So the iPhone SE is by far the cheapest option for iPhones, and the 6 S Plus is by far the most expensive.

Now we see what differentiates the phones.

The iPhone 6 has is a fairly big phone, and has a very good camera and a retina display. The 16 gig iPhone 6 costs $549.

The iPhone 6 Plus is a HUGE phone, with a retina display, and a good camera. The 6 Plus is not a phone to easily fit in pockets, believe it or not. The 6 Plus costs $649

The iPhone 6 S is a little misleading, because the other iPhone’s have Siri too. The 6 S has what Apple calls 3D touch. It allows the phone to sense how hard to press the screen and therefore leads to more advanced features. The 6 S costs $649.

The iPhone 6 S Plus is the 6 S but with the huge screen of the 6 Plus. This phone is the most expensive of the bunch, coming in at $749.

And last but not least, the iPhone SE. Apple’s newest iPhone is the worlds most powerful 4 inch phone. It has the powerful a9 chip that only the 6 S and 6 S Plus have. And the camera of the 6 S and plus too. The SE is the cheapest phone at $399.

So which phone is the best? Well it depends on what you need in a phone. If you need a large screen to watch movies on, buy the Plus or S Plus. If money is your main factor in a phone, buy the SE. Different phones work for different people.

What would I suggest for an iPhone? Personally, I think a SE is the best iPhone Apple is selling at the moment. Relatively affordable, powerful processor, good camera, and small enough to fit in your pocket.

Look for The stack up on Android in Part 2 next Wild Card Thursday!
